Andrea Hornick lives and works in New York City. She received a BA from Oberlin College in 1993 and an MFA from the San Francisco Art Institute in 1999. She has also studied at the New York Studio School, Corcoran School of Art, Haifa University, and SUNY Purchase. Residencies include: Painting's Edge at Idyllwild Arts Academy; '04,'05, Cooper Union;'04, Vermont Studio Center; '03. Her first solo painting show was at Jen Bekman in April, 2004. Selected group painting shows include: Artists Space, Cooper Union, Jen Bekman in New York and Studio 107 in Austin, Texas. Selected performances and video have been shown at: Art Center, Pasadena, CA, Walter Mc Bean Gallery in San Francisco, CA, ABC No Rio, New York, NY, and UC Davis, Davis, CA where she was a visiting artist.
